Course Description:
In this class, we will be focusing on preparing the students for their upcoming PSLE.

(1) Strengthen students' understanding on topical concepts and common misconceptions.

(2) Introduce problem solving strategies such as models drawing, units & parts method, double 'Ifs' questions, constant difference technique, etc.

(3) Illustration of techniques to problems while focusing on key concepts(to ensure students understand the linkage of the procedures to undertake when concepts are tested in different contexts)

(4) Exposure to common examinations-style questions to make sure students recognise how examinations questions are phrased and will then be able to sieve out crucial informations for their problem solving procedures.

(5) Intensive revisions as examinations approach by use of mind maps, practice worksheets & past years examination papers

Throughout the year of learning, although much emphasis will be placed on examination preparation, I also believe in the importance of constant encouragements and motivations for the students.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: My academic performance in school has been consistently above average. I have obtained a percentile of at least 65% for all my H2 subjects for all the major exams like block tests, promo and prelim exams in JC. But out of the four, my best subject would be Chemistry. Besides being accepted for H3 Chemistry: Organic Synthesis and Mechanism, I have managed to maintain a percentile of 85% and above throughout my 2 years in HCJC. In College Year 2 Block Test 2, I even managed to be in the top 50 out of a cohort of 1000 people that were taking Chemistry. This goes to show that not only do I have an EXCELLENT GRASP ON THE CURRICULUM AND CONTENT that i intend to teach, I also know how to APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE APPROPRIATELY for the exams. Furthermore due to my stellar performance in school, I've been awarded with the HWA CHONG OUTSTANDING STUDENT AWARD and HWA CHONG DIPLOMA WITH MERIT.

As a Good Tutor: I believe a good tutor should be responsible and patient with his or her students. As a tutor, it is the tutor's responsibility to ensure that the student is able to comprehend what is taught and be satisfied with the explanation given. If the student has difficulty understanding, a good tutor has to be patient in getting the student to grasp the concept instead of getting irritated or flaring up. On top of that, I believe a good tutor should be willing to help his or her students even if it is not lesson time. If the student has an urgent question to clarify, a good tutor will try his best to help the student
