Background Born to a Mandarin speaking family, I score a mere 174 for my PSLE but was subsequently in the Deans list during his Chemical Engineering Course. Now, I communicate with others confidently in English.

Commitment / Other Details: I have a strong belief that examination is not about who is smarter. It is about who has more exams tricks or techniques over the rest. Learning the concepts and fundamentals is crucial in ensuring you/your child educational path to ace the examination.

This is because for e.g O level. Every year there are thousands of average 16-year old students taking O level, hence the difficulty of the paper is similar as compared to previous years. However, in order to differenitate students who understand with those who simply memorise, it is a norm for every paper to have one or two tricky question to test them. And such tricky question are not likely to be repeated over the next few exams.

Have taught 3 H2 Chem students, one of them has been taught since she was in J1.
I always make sure they have good foundation and provide clear concept that is easy to understand and take in before we move on into drilling/ intensive practice.
I have also taught 3 O-level students. One E-math boy who just finished his O levels, and 2 girls who have finished theirs last year. both girls get good results in subject that I have taught. 1 girl whom I taught bio/chem and e-math got A1 for both subject. another got A1 for pure bio and B3 for pure chem.

As a Good Tutor: As a good tutor one should be patient, know what are the key things needed in syllabus and constantly highlight it to student. It is also important for the teacher not just constantly drill the student with questions, but also must make sure that the foundation is there.
