Commitment / Other Details: I am able to start anytime according to interested parties preference. I can commit for 4 years, thus will be able to tutor the student till his/her major exam(PSLE,O levels).

Rapport Building: I have no experience in tutoring,but having worked in the retail industry and with an outgoing personality, I believe rapport building is something i do not have to struggle with. Well, for me, I believe it begins with smiling and maybe small talks after class, If the tutee is young, I will reward her if she does well.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I will buy assessment books and keep myself updated of the curriculum and also seek discussions with fellow tutors among my friends to find out more about changes in the education system.

As a Good Tutor: To me, I feel that dedication is the most important quality of a tutor. We cannot expect all students to be highly motivated and to be able to pick up skills taught relatively quickly, thus i believe it is the responsibility of the tutor to ignite the passion in learning. To never give up on the student no matter how bleak the possibility good results may seem and to constantly motivate the student. Other qualities include enthusiasm, positivity, approachable, patient.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: i will gain greater exposure to the required syllabus by attempting and practising some relevant assessment books. To get a better idea of learning objectives of a content-based subject, i will analyse the learning outcomes of the syllabus that is stated in the introduction of the book and direct learning of student towards the learning objectives.

As a Good Tutor: Firstly, the best tutors in my opinion are those who are patient and encourage the student to ask questions , however juvenile the question seems to be.
Secondly, those who are directed at distilling out the main learning points for the student so that he/she is able to apply similar concepts to another question.

Rapport Building: I try to understand their weak point and what they do not understand. Not everything that is taught to the student may be related to the portion they don't understand. I would try different methods to teach something if they are unable to grasp the concept. This may include simple games or questions to release tension and to make the student aware of their own abilities.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I keep myself updated by going to the bookstores to check what is new in the textbooks that are being sold for the different levels.
