Rapport Building: I normally build rapport with parents by continuously updating them on their child's progress and letting them know how we can work together to better improve on their child's learning. I build rapport with students by ensuring that they can talk to me as a friend, not just as a tutor. I want my students to understand the importance of why they are doing what they're doing, and it would be much easier if I approach them as a friend since I want them to talk to me. Most students are smart, its just that they need guidance so that they will stay motivated and will also help themselves.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I keep up with the MOE syllabus by visiting bookstores and ensuring that the syllabus has not changed. I also tend to share information with my fellow tutor friends where we keep each other up to date with regards to the current curriculum.

Rapport Building: Every child is unique and their learning curve varies from one another. Over all these years of coaching my fellow peers and siblings with their studies, I have learned that 'patience' is the key. I have learned to be patient and observant to know individual child's needs and their problems with certain subjects. Such that I was able to adopt different teaching method to resolve their difficulty in understanding one subject. Upon realizing that I was able to make a difference in my peers and siblings' result, I am inspired to teach more students and hopefully make a difference in theirs too.
