Based on their progress i would be able to get a rough estimate of their major exam grade and determine how much effort needs to be invested so that he/she will do well.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I keep myself updated with the curriculum based on the SEAB website which provides information on what is relevant and no longer relevant in that subject matter. I change my lessons accordingly.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: My Alvls just ended so Im still quite equipped with knowledge of the current curriculum. Also, I think that it would be good to teach the Olvls/ Nlvls syllabus with some of my JC notes and tutorials because it can increase the quality of their answers tremendously.

As a Good Tutor: The basic qualities of a good tutor is definitely patience because when a student meet obstacles while solving a math question or find it difficult to understand the question requirements and how to answer them, the tutor has to be the lighthouse to guide him or her along the way even when he repeatedly fails to comprehend. With patience, the student will be learning in a stress free condition and this is essential to building confidence and allowing the student to make improvements and learn from his mistakes!

I will give my students the ability to set their own pace for lessons. After every 2 weeks, I will give feedback to my student about his/her pace and what he/she can work on. Also, I will give monthly updates to parents about the progress of the student and gather any feedback from them.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I have just graduated from JC recently and am still quite up to date with the curriculum. However, to ensure that I am covering all required aspects, I will catch up using lecture notes from the student (so as to not confuse them) and my fellow tutors.
