Tuition/Teaching Experience
I am currently an undergraduate student in NUS Medicine. I am confident of tutoring most O level subjects, and biology and chemistry at the A level. Although I have no experience yet, I have strong fundamentals in these subjects and am able to explain concepts clearly and concisely. I am also familiar with the format and expectations of science papers especially biology and chemistry.
In my teaching, I will place a strong emphasis on keywords and concepts for the sciences, with weekly homework tailored to the current topics.

Commitment / Other Details
I can start in January 2016. Will take a short break sometime during April to prepare for my final exam.
Able to commit to 2 sessions a week for lull periods in my studies, but only 1 session per week during hectic periods.
Rapport Building
I believe that students have to rely on themselves to improve, and my job is just to emphasise key concepts and impart effective ways to learn/remember these concepts. I will give my students the ability to set their own pace for lessons. After every 2 weeks, I will give feedback to my student about his/her pace and what he/she can work on. Also, I will give monthly updates to parents about the progress of the student and gather any feedback from them.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I have just graduated from JC recently and am still quite up to date with the curriculum. However, to ensure that I am covering all required aspects, I will catch up using lecture notes from the student (so as to not confuse them) and my fellow tutors.
As a Good Tutor
A good tutor empowers, not just teaches. He is competent, but above that humble and willing to change his style to suit each student.
