After my A levels, I had worked in a studentcare centre in a primary school that teaches all subjects for about 7-8 months. I have also gotten a very good testimonial showing my abilities from the studentcare centre. The testimonial could be shown upon request.
Now I am currently coaching 3 students and they had gotten very good results ranging from 70-100 and had shown marked improvements.
Before their exams, i will provide them notes so that they can revise. I will do my best as a tutor and with the student's own effort as well, I will be able to help them achieve a better result.

Rapport Building: I will often give little quizzes to test the standard of the student and to see if they understand the concepts that are being taught. Parents will also be given frequent updates on the child's progress.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I will go to the bookstore to look at the textbook that are being used by the students currently. I will also enquire about the topics that are being taught to the students in school to ensure that the topics that I am teaching is relevant.

As a Good Tutor: I believe that tutors must have the responsibility to ensure that the students do not leave the lesson with unanswered questions. Tutors must also have the patience to reteach the students the basics if they are really weak in that subject. We must also be reliable and trustworthy so that the parents will not be worrying if their child is doing well or not.

I have 3 years of experience in teaching Primary 1 to 6 students Chinese language. Also, I have experience in tutoring foreign primary students such as Indonesian Chinese and Japanese.

My current tutees include one P6, two P5, two P4 and one P2.

My teaching focus will be on building up the kid's interest in Chinese rather than forcing him/her to memorize as I believe the only time you start to learn is when you are interested.

Tuition/Teaching Experience: During high school, I volunteered as a peer tutor, helping other students to edit and improve on their work, ranging from poetry assignments up to history essays. Students I worked with ranged from Korean students who did not speak very good English all the way up to those who just needed a second set of eyes to look over an assignment. Students whose papers I helped always came away feeling satisfied, because I would take the time to go over every detail of the essay from word choice to flow and organization, which in the long run was extremely helpful to them in improving their writing. (During my final year of high school, I also volunteered to proofread a lot of my classmates' university application essays.)
