Piano lessons held at your house. (if you don't have a piano, lessons can be held in my house)
Rapport Building
I would talk to the students' parents about their child's progress every now and then so as to ensure that the child is having ample practice at home. Moreover, their parents are free to provide any feedback so that i can better improve my teaching methods.
In addition, i would allow the child to learn their favorite songs so as to build up their interest for piano.
Furthermore,i would encourage students to make positive choices, and especially encourage the ones that struggling. I would also complement the students that excel and have made great progress.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I practice the piano daily for about 1 hour. I would learn different types of songs. For instance, classical music, exam pieces and also modern songs which are popular among youngsters these days.
As for theory, i would read through the notes and books regularly in order to familiarize with the content.
As a Good Tutor
Firstly, I strongly belief that a good piano teacher should be approachable. This will allow the student to be more comfortable i expressing themselves when they face troubles or have any queries. In addition, the student will not feel intimidated due to my friendly approach. Jokes are definitely a must so as to make the learning environment an enjoyable one.
Secondly, i believe that a good piano teacher should set targets for the student. This will allow the student to strive for better results and hence make greater progress.
Thirdly, a good piano teacher be provide the student with more opportunities to learn the songs they are interested in and encouraging, This will instill a love for piano among the students, hence making them want to continue learning piano.
