Currently taking one secondary school student, so am familiar with O Level syllabus. Able to start ASAP
    Rapport Building
I try to learn about the student's individual strengths and weaknesses, then try to improve their weak areas and constantly inspire them to not neglect their strengths. This improves them holistically. Most importantly, I am able to help students see why they are learning each subject, which makes the learning easier because they can appreciate the subject at school. I am extremely good at motivational speaking and encouraging the students on.
    Keeping Up with Curriculum
Still teaching one secondary school student both math and science, so I am constantly aware of what is being examined
    As a Good Tutor
A good tutor is one who listens attentively to both students and parents, and is always committed and dedicated to the success of the student. Communication is extremely important, and as a motivational speaker, I excel in this area. I also have excellent qualifications in science olympiads and international mathematics competitions. I have also won poetry prizes and been the top in Geography. I believe being an all-rounder is important, and this is a result of developing an appreciation for each subject, which is what my previous tutor has taught me.

Thank you for recommending Daphne Chia to teach chemistry to my daughter. She scored A1 for her chemistry in the O level exam.

I like to feedback to you about tutor Ms Chia (Pure Chem teaching sec 4)
She knows the subject very well.
    Her explainations are very clear.
    She cares for student.
She has a schedule to follow. Thk You - Ms Yvonne

On 15 Dec 2016, we engaged Ms Daphne Chia to teach our daughter Sec 3 Pure Chemistry so as to give her a headstart. She had her Chem test on 23 Feb & we are very happy that she scored an A2, an improvement of 3 grades from her previous Science result of C5 in Sec 2. Ms Daphne Chia is very effective in terms of her lesson preparation, lesson delivery & assessment of students' learning. She is also willing to go beyond her call of duty to help students by replying to their queries outside of tuition hours when needed. In addition, with her affable disposition, she is able to establish & maintain excellent rapport with students & their parents. Thank you.

Ms Daphne Chia is a dedicated and committed tutor. She can cater to student's needs and can get along very well with parents too.

    Nov 2017
My child has been taking private lessons for O level Chemistry from the tutor - Ms. Daphne Chia by Ace Tutors and we are impressed by her high dedication and passion displayed. My child has renewed her interest under the tutor's inspiration to secure improved grades in Chemistry subject.
I am happy that the tutor's hard work has well surpassed my expectations and allowed my child to achieve her personal bests. Thank you. by Ms Chiew Har

Ms Chia has provided me with notes that are detailed and concised. She ensures that I understand my concepts by providing clear ad interesting explanations. Dedicated to help me improve on my weaker topics, she is patient and explains each topic again whenever I do not understand a certain topic. Her lessons are engaging as she uses a variety of props such as video demonstrations and 3D structures to help me better understand each topic. Being professional and very flexible, she has helped me improve my grades from F9 to B3 in a span of 10 months.

    Keeping Up with Curriculum
    As a Good Tutor
I am passionate and dedicated in coaching students in various subjects. It is always my interest in sharing tips with students how to excel in exams by not just studying hard but studying smart.

One of my ways of teaching is to provide self-prepared notes to students that I have consolidated based on my knowledge and experience as well as referring to other reference books and exam questions. I always believe that it is very crucial o expose students to variety way of understanding the content and prepare them with variable possible exam topics.

I am a fun teacher, other than coaching in an academic way, I will always like to add some funs into the teaching session to make it an interesting and less tedious one so that students will like it. I always believe that this is the most important element in life especially when it comes to study -- if you want to excel in one subject, you must first love it.
