Rapport Building: Teaching is my passion and what makes me a good tutor is that I teach from my heart. I often inspire and motivate my students to do their best. My students enjoy my lessons as I always try to make learning as fun and meaningful as possible. Often I would share with them news that are happening around the world to broaden their horizon. They love these bits of information that I shared. I would provide constant feedback to parents and my rapport with them have been great. So far, my parents know that I am someone whom they can trust.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: As a parent of 2 school-going children, I'm constantly updated with the school curriculum and syllabus. Otherwise, I have friend who are still in the service who would keep me in the loop on new initiatives in school. On top of that, I would regularly read news, books or articles on education.

Rapport Building: Sometimes i play card games (related to what is taught) with the kids, especially with bigger kids who may not love learning that much. Sometimes, I'll share picture books with younger kids, to help develop their love for reading. Depending on the level and age of the child, different age-appropriate activities will be used.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I am currently teaching in a Primary School in the North East and that will definitely keep me abreast with the ministry's curriculum.

As a Good Tutor: A good tutor will use age-appropriate activities to arouse the kids interest. Also, it is important to find out the needs of the child and help to improve them. On top of that, while grades may be important, it is important that i inculcate and role-model the right values which are crucial for character building.
