Rapport Building: Having good mannerism is very important as basic respect is needed for rapport to be built. Understanding the student before tutoring is essential in order for improvements in results, so I would usually talk to the parents first to seek to understand their problems and how I can help their child.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I have relatives whom I have had private tuition with before, so I can keep myself updated with the syllabus when I teach them. I also do research online about the syllabus and check out the assessment books in bookstores.

As a Good Tutor: Patience, a good analytical mind to critically point out the underlying misconception/misunderstanding, creativity so as to keep students interested and learn in a more interactive way.
