As a Good Tutor: Though I only taught one or two students for a short period of time, the students found me to be very detailed and patient in teaching them concepts and going through the worked solutions, enabling them to pass their exams more easily when they couldn't previously. Studying math is known to be a chore but under my guidance, I aim to make learning math more fun and interesting so that the learning process can be a smoother one. I believe that with my passion in mathematics, I am able to be committed enough to guide my tutee in tackling questions and helping him to witness an improvement in his results. Keeping Up with Curriculum: I have been giving tuition in all 5 subjects, A maths, Emaths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology continuously for 10 years

As a Good Tutor: After experiences in both Polytechnic and Junior College education system with 7 years of tutoring experiences, I believe in bringing everyday real life examples and shortcuts into the learning process to enhance understanding and to reduce memory work using associations. Having improved from L1R5 26 to straight As for prelim, I know what the common errors and misconceptions are and I identified strategies that work for myself and my tutees.

I specialise in using metaphors and diagrams to explain and classify things for easier memorization; identifying and correcting students' misconceptions and assumptions, understanding what students are confused about, helping them to see where they have gone wrong and in what circumstances will their wrong answers be correct.

Along the way during teaching and problem solving, I will ask related additional questions to check one's understanding and things memorised.

As for homework, i don't believe in blindless repeated exercises, i believe repetition in a wide range of concepts and techniques is more effective in helping one to learn and remember.

I have updated notes and questions, I have also personally attempted most JCs prelim questions myself as there are no answers for geography and usually will guide my students through ample practices.

I also show them what other students are doing.

As a Good Tutor: I have taught students from over 10 different JCs for H1/H2 geography and have helped most of them achieve quality grades A or B in the A levels.

Most of the problems have to be traced back and dealt with, even from the most fundamentals like how to write a sentence or paragraph may be what the students need. We can revisit those steps first before we build up for the A levels.
