    I am a PhD holder and have 5-year tutoring experience. I have taught more than 10 students and can handle both fast and slow learners well. Some of my students are from Nanyang Girls' High School, Raffles Institution, Raffles Girls' School, Cedar Girls' Secondary School, St. Joseph's Institution and Victoria School. In addition to IP and O level, I also have tremendous experience in teaching IGCSE and IB Diploma. I have taught international students from Hwa Chong International School, Australian International School, Overseas Family School, Anglo-Chinese School (International) and UWC. Besides, I can also convey concepts in Chinese well for foreign students (if required) for better understanding. All my students can see tremendous improvement in their understanding within few lessons and score consistently well in their exams. I used to prepare notes and plenty of exercises for my students to ensure they are familiar with the exam questions.

      Usually, on the first lesson, I would give the student an exercise to assess their strengths and weakness. Afterwards, I would come up with an individual and personalised timeline for the student and set milestones to check their progress. This way, the parents would be able to see the structure of lessons and can prepare their child for it
      Keeping Up with Curriculum
      I regularly practise teaching and having lessons with my own teacher. By doing so, I would have make regular visits to Popular to check the Ten-Year-Series books and updated textbooks to prepare my lessons. I also check online regularly to see if there are any changes to the curriculum and ensure whatever I am teaching aligns to the learning objectives as specified by the MOE syllabus.
      As a Good Tutor
      I always try to make lessons interesting by trying to make the content relatable to the student so that they can understand it better. I also try to make them exam-smart by practising in exam conditions so that they will not panic in exams. Furthermore, especially with content-heavy subjects, I teach memorising and studying techniques so that they can remember content better in the midst of exam stress.
