      I believe in inspiring my students to work hard in their own time and find the motivation to study. I am firm yet encouraging at the same time so that the student do not get demoralised and learn from their mistakes. I always update my student's parents on their progress after each lesson so that they know what happens during every lesson and if they have any preference or feedbacks for me.
      Keeping Up with Curriculum
      Am well-aware and understand the current curriculum of primary schools. Am able to adapt to the needs of my students and change my teaching style depending on the students' learning pace and style. I have my own materials and notes that I use to teach my students for Math and Science.

      I used to teach in a renowned enrichment centre for 1 year before switching to private tutoring. During my time there, I had experiences with students with learning disabilities like ADHD and dyslexia, which well-trained my patience and empathy for students.

            My students enjoyed interacting and sharing with me as they say I always take a keen and genuine interest in what is happening to them, both in class and beyond.

            I would constantly try to source for creative and innovative ways to engage students' learning of the subject like using trigger activity to hook their attention and infusing stories, jokes and puzzles to sustain their interest. My own teaching philosophy is to promote independent and active learning through the use of inquiry-based approaches. During my years of teaching Maths and POA, I try to promote such learning through the use of learning trails, self-reflection through journaling and open-ended questions that elicit multiple responses.

            Even after leaving school, I continue to hone my teaching by providing private tutoring. I would constantly search for teaching related websites to look for interesting teaching resources that I could use. I also keep abreast with the latest educational research and pedagogy by reading up and subscribing to electronic educational publication.
