With my overseas uni/work experiences, I seek to impart general knowledge in/outside of the syllabus (eg. scholarship application, working experience, life skills etc), based on my varied overseas studying and overseas working experience. I teach by infusing concepts into things that are relatable to my students, such as how math and physics is involved in the shooting games they play, or how physics plays a role in the construction of the building they live in.

      I have been keeping myself abreast with the current curriculum and I remain up to date with the syllabus as I will be in NIE for my formative training to become a teacher.
      I also read through assessment books and questions from other schools so as to understand the many permutations the same concept can be tested.

      My past tutees have enjoyed learning under my guidance. In most occasions, they start off disliking math due to certain reasons. I hope to come in and understand some of their preconceived notions and guide them along the way.

          I have experience teaching P2 all the way to Sec 4 levels, including preparing them for both PSLE and O levels. Imparting knowledge and seeing my students develop and improve really gives me a sense of purpose and passion!
          Keeping Up with Curriculum
          Quality materials provided in line with MOE syllabus. I usually start a new topic by doing a quick concept revision, followed by a demonstration of how to answer several questions. I then let students attempt a topical exercise, before collecting the papers for marking and going through the questions (especially those with common mistakes) the next lesson.
          As a Good Tutor
          Most of my students improved by at least 1-2 grades after joining me for a few months, with some making much more dramatic improvement (e.g. from 25/100 to B+ in PSLE) after being with me for a year. Try me and be prepared to see real results!
