Rapport Building: Studying and passing exams had never been my strength when I was young, especially during primary school and secondary. However during poly I uncovered a motivation for my work and started working hard, achieving an A in my final year project. I carried this motivation with me to University and although I struggled, I am able to complete all 16 subjects with no fails and more than 8 Distinctions. This is proof that with hard work and the correct motivation one is able to achieve good grades

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I often visit bookshops to browse latest exercise books. With friends and relatives working in the education industry I am also able to be on track with the current curriculum.

As a Good Tutor: A good tutor is someone who is able to draw out a student's passion for a subject and motivate them to work towards it, for by being happy in one's work does success comes naturally

Commitment / Other Details: I am able to start immediately (or on short notice), preferably in the north/central area, although north area would be most preferred. I am available during the morning/afternoon, but would prefer to keep my nights free.

Rapport Building: I get along exceedingly well with my students. besides instilling discipline into them, I am also very focused when trying to bring across a particularly important idea or concept, so that they may fully grasp it.

I also believe in positive reinforcement, and I will reward my students for doing well. Similarly, if they seem to be struggling with their work, then I will assign additional homework for them, so that they may improve.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I have been teaching as a relief teacher under MOE's relief teaching scheme for a good portion of last year, teaching English and Science at a local secondary school. Thus, I believe that my knowledge of the curriculum is current and up-to-date.

As a Good Tutor: A good tutor requires passion, dedication and a "never-say-die" attitude.

I would say that i embody all these qualities, and I will never give up on a student, taking as much time as is required to impart my knowledge across to them.
