I believe on training students to develop creative thinking mindset as well as to impart the valuable fundamental concept of Maths as these have certainly shown to improve their grades tremendously and making their life successful and flourishing.

In addition , one of my hobbies is to provide volunteer tutoring to upper secondary students from low income families in the Care Corner Family Service Center as I believe everybody should have an equal opportunity to enhance their academic or personal development regardless of his/her background.

Commitment / Other Details: I am passionate about my teaching and I take great pride in my abilities to motivate students. I am very professional in delivering my lessons and my overall commitment to my students.

Rapport Building: Teacher must know the subject and the exam requirement extremely well. Teacher must know how to structure the lessons and provide the right exercises. Teacher must belief in helping, not hurting the student. Teaching is not about how teacher feels at the end of lesson, but how students feel at the end of the lesson. Teacher must aspire to win the student's confidence throughout the teaching period. The sooner teacher does this the earlier rapport will develop.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: The teacher must know the curriculum and MOE's changes to curriculum very well. The teacher must understand the broader cognitive goals of the MOE Curriculum. MOE's website is a good place to start and keep abreast of changes. Staying in touch with friends who are still teaching MOE schools in another way. Attempting to write and publish textbooks with reputable publishes like Marshall Cavendish is yet another way to keep abreast.
