Through that we can emphasise on their strong points besides investing necessary effort in helping students counter their weaknesses.

As a Good Tutor: To be a good tutor, he or she needs to know the content knowledge well. On top of that, the tutor must be able to use different pedagogies to bring the content across to the student. There should be continual assessment for learning for the tutor to pin-point the student's areas for improvements.

She enjoyed our English writing sessions together as she is able to express her thoughts through different medium (drawing) before writing it down. Rapport Building: As for the first one or two sessions, I will normally start by stating the expectations of behavior during the sessions. Rewards will be implemented. I will normally break down the timing for different activity for the session so the students will be able to know what are the expected routine for the sessions. Talking to the students (asking his/her preference) for the first few session and by instilling some fun learning experience through educational games.

I will update the parents on the sessions for every 3-4 sessions or every month on their child's learning. This is to ensure the parents also have sense of understanding for their child's learning apart from school.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: Currently working in school. Therefore as special needs officer in school; I have to keep updated and learn their methods of teaching the curriculum in order for me to support the students under my care.

As a Good Tutor: Engaging, fun and bubbly to keep the lessons alive and good listener to their problems and lending a hand of support for their learning process.
