I was then invited back to school by the Chemistry department to relief-teach H2 Chemistry for about 4 months in 2014 while I was waiting for the release of the A Level results. I handled about 200 JC2 students in PJC before ending my work there to prepare for university. Just last year, I worked with a Secondary 4 O Level student for her Combined Science (Physics/Chemistry) and I believe both of us had a great time working toward her goals.

Rapport Building: I believe in communicating with both the parents and the students separately so that I can address to their different needs for example updating the parents occasionally regarding the child's progress and attitude during tuition lessons. I believe I would be able to bond well with students as I was once a student who was struggling with studies.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I would read up on the syllabus content before starting an assignment so as to make sure both the student and I would be on the right track.

As a Good Tutor: One needs to first understand how the student is feeling about the subject. Good tutors should also go according to the student's pace and be concerned about the student's wellbeing whenever exams are near (in case he or she becomes too stressed out).

Rapport Building: I usually encourage students to read, not just materials given by the school, but outside the school as well. I have a huge and rich source of what I teach, and my room is getting crowded with all these! I do chat with parents about their kids' progress and give tips on how they can help their kids even on the non academic side.
