Rapport Building: I'm a friendly person and initiates conversation easily. I believe that there is a line drawn between a tutee and a tutor, I will be firm to my students during teaching but maintaining a friendly relationship with them.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I'm planning to be a part time tutor for a long term because teaching makes me happy when my knowledge and skills are passed to the student.

As a Good Tutor: I would buy external exercise books for students to do. I believe that gaining more knowledge will help the student to prepare for exams but most importantly is to ensure that the student knows their primary basics.

Commitment / Other Details: With my current semester at NIE, im am decently flexible with the timings however i feel that late afternoon classes will be the best as it gives us (the student and teacher) time to travel and prepare for the tuition. My exams are beginning in April and as such i would still be able to give tuitions, thus it would be better that on the 1st session that we sought out these admin matters.

Rapport Building: Essentially i believe that it is important that on the 1st session the parents and students will have a mini chat session with me (preferably for about 15-20 mins) to discuss any form of expectations, student problems on where he/she is lacking in their academics and go through my teaching style and methodology.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: Being a current NIE-trainee it would be fairly easy for me to gain access about the current syllabus, recent changes and different teaching pedagogies which will allow me to share this information with my students.

As a Good Tutor: I believe that the good tutors must always have the mindset that every student is a potential 'A' student and we have to ensure that our teaching style is catered to their needs. Punctuality is very important as time is an important factor even when doing exams as such we have to inculcate such values in our students as well. Thus we have to set examples for students (be prepared and be punctual) to adhere to.

He got A's for his Maths and Science. He was the Top 3 students for his stream and this allowed him to cross over to the Express Stream in sec 3.

Achievement: GPA 4.35 and above out of a total of 5.0, getting A's and B's for my course of study.
