Rapport Building: Employ a mix of conventional (simple explain, simple lecture) and specialised evidence-based teaching methods (**not available elsewhere) to increase the appeal of the subject material and the student's true understanding.

Special pedagogical methods used: memory clinics and mnemonic exercises for GP, physics and math. Analogous teaching and explanations for difficult math and phy concepts, with graphics and animations. Word games, research exercises and outdoor writing trips for GP and English.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: All latest prelim, A level and other exam papers are obtained and studied for trends. These trends are not treated lightly and are included in my "Heuristic Approach to Solving Problems". I am also cognizant/aware of the recent 10% cut in the A level Math syllabus (and addition of Further Mathematics) to be first tested in 2017, and have made adjustments to my content coverage accordingly.

Rapport Building: For me, I build rapport through understanding and respect. Every student is unique and therefore I will try my best to accommodate to their learning style so as to help them learn to their best abilities. Also, I believe that respect is a two-way street. Since I hope to gain their trust and respect, I will too offer them their due respect.
As for parents, I believe that communication is essential. Therefore, I usually would give feedbacks to parents every once in a couple of weeks to help them keep track of their child's development. Asides from that, I would also love to understand how the child is like at home, from the parents, as this helps me to better cater to their learning.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: First and foremost, as I am currently taking a Diploma in Child Psychology & Early Education, I tend to keep myself updated with the curriculum. It also helps that I have a younger sister who is currently in secondary 2, thus allowing me to easily keep up with the new syllabus.
