      I am able to teach from 7 pm on weekdays and whole day on Saturdays and Sundays. I enjoy the coaching and teaching,hence the willingness to spend time outside of my work hours to tutor.

      I feel that each child and young adult has the basic motivation to be the best they can be. And it is that principle from which I encourage those who may slack. My advice is always to try their best and everything else does not quite matter as long as the effort is put in. An honest day's work basically. I have been trained in Basic Counselling at Temasek Polytechnic and I would employ the technique of asking probing questions to students , so that they find the solutions themselves. When they find solutions by themselves, students own the process and that builds confidence and gives satisfaction. When that happens, the student will feel happy undertaking the task at hand or willing do their homework.
      Keeping Up with Curriculum
      I have spent 9 years in education and been trained in curriculum and assessment development. I have a certificate in Teaching in Higher Education awarded by Temasek Polytechnic. In addition I did an applied research programme on using audio & visual content for learning. I have worked on new curriculum for modules at diploma level that requires planning out teaching outcomes and assigning optimum teaching hours. I have undergone assessment setting and marking workshops and so can develop testing material to benefit the student in their learning. I sufficient pedagogy knowledge to ensure teaching materials are up-to-date.
      As a Good Tutor
      I always believe that what you teach is what the student will become. So, i understand the big responsibility a teacher holds. I believe that is the case as a tutor as well because all educators are role models for their charges. So to be a good tutor, I will strive to display integrity, hard work and attention to detail. Those traits will ensure a student will stay focused and do their best.

        As a undergraduate, someone who is younger, I am able to related closely with my students and help them to increase their interest in the subject to help to improve their results. Also, since I am of a age closer to my students, I am able to deliver a more effective way to study better as I am still studying currently and can experiment on the different ways to learn effectively so that I can teach my students as well so that my students can be learning at ease. Furthermore, as my student, due to the small age gap, my students can talk to me at ease as the topics are more relatable and from there, I can build trust with my students and find out the root problem of my students. Also, I can be the bridge between the student and parents and deliver what and how my students are struggling with and get understanding from the parents.
