    As a Good Tutor
    I am committed to teaching the students, in making them understand the concepts rather than memorising chunks of formulae. By illustrating real-life applications and examples, I hope to stimulate their interests in the subject as I believe that students are able to remember concepts better and to do well in their respective subjects.

    The speed of my teaching depends on how well the students can understand the particular subject. For weaker students, I tend to practise more questions with them so that they know what to expect during exams. For better students, I usually cover the topics in greater details, e.g. how does the concept come about or the derivation of the formula, so that they understand more about the topics and are able to do well when they progress to the next level.

        I firstly will try and make friends with and understand my student, as I believe every student is different and have different ways/speed of learning. I think there is no one size fit all method for learning and like to cater to each student's needs. I am also a Taekwondo instructor so I have experience interacting and teaching students of a wide age range, from kindergarden to JC level). I have different methods for teaching different individuals as I know they have varying capabilities. I maintain a friendly and caring relationship with my students and they enjoy my teaching and always show improvement which makes me very proud. I would interact with mt student's parents to better understand the student's background as it plays a part in the student's learning as well.

                I am completing my A levels in 2019, so I am familiar with all subjects taken (Knowledge and Inquiry, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics). I have maintained good grades throughout JC, with straight As in all majors exams.
                My knowledge from A levels is largely applicable to secondary school as well.

                I believe that a good tutor must have the heart to care for the student, and must also be familiar with the subject area. Additionally, the tutor must have patience when answering questions and clarifying doubts.
