My first testimony is my student in Primary 5. He has been failing in his Maths and Science since P3. After working with his foundation for a year, his Math has been passing and his science improved to 66%. Adding science experiments into tuition has greatly cultivated his interest in science.
Secondly was my P6 student. From a 'F' in Maths, he achieved an 'A' for his PSLE Maths. Throughout this period of time, I encouraged him to work towards his goal and kept reminding him to put away his playfulness and laziness aside.
Last but not least, most of my N and O level science students achieved 'A' in their combined Physics/Chemistry.

Taught 2 P6 in 2012,they went to Yu Ying Sec and Montford High.
In 2011,taught at a tuition centre K2-P5 Maths and Sci in a classroom of 1-8.
Taught my Filipino friend's P5 and Sec 3 son Chinese in 2010. They manage to score a B for P5 and C5 for Sec 3, despite English is their main language.
One of the students I have has ADHD but he managed to score 68 for his English and high 40s for his Maths, Sci and Chinese in SA2, from his 20s and 30s in CA2.
My Sec 1 student also had been failing his Maths in P5. I had managed to help him maintain his C till his PSLE and had scored A2 for his Sec1 Maths in the recent SA2.

Rapport Building: I normally build rapport by listening to their troubles and difficulties in learning things and finding the optimal solution for them to understand the concept. Moreover, I try to make the lesson interesting by making jokes occasionally and try my best not to scold unless necessary as I believe scolding will only demoralize the students.

Always believe in motivation and try my best to instill passion and interest in the subject.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: Before commencement of tuition assignment, I will always make a trip to book stores to get some assessment books and guide books to update myself of the current curriculum. For "O" Level students, I will always look at prelim exams of different Secondary Schools and let my students try papers of different difficulty.
