My hopes for every child that I tutor would be that by the end of 10 weeks, he / she will no longer require me to motivate him / her to study, but instead be able to develop both interests and capacity to be self-motivated and to self-study. I believe that as a tutor, it becomes crucial for there to be a development of trusts between both students and myself. Through such a relationship, I hope to inspire discipline, and not just instill discipline.

I graduated from the National University of Singapore pursuing my personal interest in Geography and have dreams of becoming a Full-Time MOE Teacher. However, before entering the route, I am currently pursuing the path as a Part-Time Tutor to explore this industry. What inspired me to enter this route as an educator stems from a belief that was first placed in my life as someone who was not always the top student. However, my teachers left in me a lesson more important than knowledge, and that was the wisdom to due with life's greatest problems. They inspired a tenacity towards overcoming setbacks in school, and inspired me to look to studying as something that is enjoyable and not to be endured. To this, I owe everything, therefore, now, I wish to give back as well!

Keeping Up with Curriculum: Regarding the different tutoring projects I am undertaking, I am fully aware of what is expected of every students in each syllabus (according to what is publicly released on the MOE website).

Because I am not officially trained under MOE, there would be gaps in knowledge of the full syllabus. However, I do promise that I will (within my means) to possess the latest updates on the most recent curriculum (especially during the Covid season) through resources MOE websites, official study guides, and through consultation with friends in the same industry.

As a Good Tutor: I believe that I would more than be able to ensure an improvement in your child's academic understanding of the topic, but also be able to inspire an interest in your child over the subject. I believe that studying is for the training of the mind, and while that is the case, studying should be enjoyed and not endured. I commit at least 30 minutes to prepare for every student that I am undertaking. Therefore, through such preparation, I hope to not only offer to your child a guide in his / her life pertaining to the subject matter, but also a motivator, a friend and a role model.

Every child has their unique strengths and weaknesses. And that is what I love to identify in every child. I do not believe that any 2 child should have exactly similar studying methods. Private tuition allows the flexibility of being able to customize every lesson, and I look to take advantage of that to ensure that your child receives the best support he / she can get from me.
