In 2012, 2 of my RGS students scored A2s in HCL despite having B4 to C6 range grades previously. In 2014, my PSLE student went from failing Chinese throughout upper primary to getting a B in PSLE despite getting ungraded in other subjects.

As a Good Tutor: I am highly proficient in American English as I graduated from an American high school.

I cater all my lesson plans to the individual needs of the student. I focus on ensuring that my students gain a strong grasp of the fundamentals of math so that they can apply their knowledge to solve easy and hard problems. I keep lessons light-hearted and fun but I also expect a lot from my students. I feel that abundance of practice leads to better understanding in math so I will push my students to do as many problems as possible but I will also go through each problems step by step so that my students can get a valuable insight on the different thoughts/approaches I take when solving difficult problems

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I am a fresh Junior College graduate who is currently waiting to receive my A Level results, hence secondary school and JC education is still fairly recent to me.

As for the primary school curriculum, I have been tutoring my brother, who has completed primary 6 as of 2014. He has achieved stellar results during PSLE, with an aggregate score of 264, and has been accepted into Hwa Chong Institution. Thus, I believe that I am well-equipped with sufficient knowledge about the current primary school syllabus.

As a Good Tutor: I enjoy interacting with other people and I feel that patience is one of the distinguishing characteristics that separates me from other tutors. I have been mentoring students from Bukit View Primary School for the past two years as part of the CIP programme, and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I believe that patience is one of the integral qualities that define a good tutor from a mediocre one, thus I have confidence in my ability to bring out the best in your child.
