At times when I may not be able to meet them face to face on weekdays, I can still help them out with their queries through whatsapp, a platform which I will succinctly reply to.

As a literature teacher, I have three major education goals--to use Literature to teach students to think about life and society, to teach them the larger skill of analyzing texts, not just literature but anything from smses to spoken language, press reports and mass media texts, and most importantly, to give them the knowledge and develop the reading and writing skills needed to get top grades in Literature.

Teaching lower primary school student can be challenging as they get very distracted very easily. The teaching method I used is to give rewards to motivate them to learn. Example: Giving english spelling and rewards them with a sticker if they get full mark. If they fail in the spelling, I will tend to encourage them to do better next time. With the sight of improvement in the student's result, I will compliment on their work to allow them to excel in their result.
