Tuition/Teaching Experience: I received the top student with 8 distinctions during my 'O' levels. I was also awarded with the best improvement student for Mathematics in Secondary 3, when I was able to improve from a C6 to a A1. I am able to pick up fundamental conceptual misunderstanding in students and correct them easily. Tuition/Teaching Experience: I started out giving free tuition when I was 14/15 years old and found a passion in teaching students but not in a school system settings as I personally feel that it can be pretty rigid. Hence, I started to venture into part-time tuition upon recovering my O Levels certificate while studying.

I have experience with ADHD and Autism children but don't expect me to go in and immediately bond with them (depending on the condition); both my students took about 1-4 months for me to break the shell and they are close to me)

My total experience is close to a decade, mainly on primary subjects such as EMS.

Tuition/Teaching Experience: I have around 2 years of tutoring experience. The number of students taught by me would be 3 students ranging from jc2 to secondary school students. I tutored a jc 2 student for H2 chemistry and she improved from S to an A in the A levels. I also tutored 2 secondary school students for A Maths and Chemistry. Their grades improved from a fail in both subjects to at least an A2 in their final year exams in secondary 3. I am tutoring and preparing both of them for chemistry, e maths and a maths in the o levels this year.

Rapport Building: When teaching younger students it is important to provide incentives in order to "push" them to strive for he best. I believe that the first tuition session matters the most for rapport building. I always introduce myself to the parents, and the student; spend at least 15 minutes to get to know the student. I will proceed to explain how I'm going to help the student, and start on goal setting.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I am familiar with the current curriculum, and I always spend time prepping for the tuition lesson. Seeking feedback from your students is important as well. You have to keep track of their progress in school, and also any changes in the syllabi.

As a Good Tutor: I reckon that good tutors have to be patient, dedicated, and willing to commit time on helping the student. They have to be flexible on their style of teaching, personalizing it to suit the student. They have to find new ways to keep the student engaged in what they are learning.
Tutors should also constantly seek feedback, and tweak themselves accordingly.
