Tuition/Teaching Experience
I have 7 to 8 years of tutoring experience. I mainly specialise in the English language and I have been giving 1 to 1 private English tuition as well as conducted English lessons (both primary and secondary levels) at a tuition centre for 2 years. I always ensure that my lessons are engaging and learner-centric. One of my students who is from China, was failing the English subject and I coached her for both N levels and O levels. She managed to score B3 for her O levels English from a failing grade since I met her.

Commitment / Other Details
I am available on most weekday evenings and weekends mornings/afternoons. My timings are quite flexible so most time slots can be arranged.
Rapport Building
I always communicate with both parents and students on their expectations and what I can help them achieve. I ensure that they are comfortable with my teaching methodology and the student's needs are met.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
As an English Linguistics Major graduate from NUS, I constantly read up on new teaching methologies pertaining to the English subject and I've always been involved in the private education sector (I hold a full time job with one of the private education companies). I also intend to take up relevant teaching courses in the near future to keep up with the curriculum.
As a Good Tutor
Good tutors are those who listen and observe their students closely. I do not believe in dumping my students with information just because it's easy to do so. It's important to understand a learner's needs and the gaps to fill rather than bombarding them with knowledge which they do not know how to apply. I also do not bore my students with the usual whiteboard teaching method where they only listen and I talk. I always ensure that they are also engaged in the learning and learn to construct their own point of views with proper support.
