                    I am able to start anytime and am available for as long as needed. However, the time at which I will be available on weekdays will vary based on distance from my place of work.

                    I believe that it is very important for parents to be involved in their child's education. As such, I provide monthly reviews/feedback so parents can track their child's progress and allow for discussion on how best to help their child achieve his/her maximum potential. This may include smart studying techniques, minor lifestyle changes (e.g. Sleep cycle, increasing child's activity by exercising), exam strategies, etc.
                    I am also a strong believer in positive reinforcement. Additionally, while practise is important, internalising the knowledge taught and applying it well is just as important as that is what the syllabus (in terms of the way knowledge is being tested) is gearing towards. To do this, I usually have discussions with my students so I can better understand how well they have grasped concepts and guide them towards internalising the correct concepts should there be misconceptions.
                    Keeping Up with Curriculum
                    I follow the news closely for any changes in the curriculum that may be announced by the ministry. Following any changes, I will compare the syllabus outline with the old syllabus outline and identify changes that have been made. I also make it a point to teach as closely to the syllabus outline as possible to ensure that nothing is missed out.
                    As a Good Tutor
                    One should be able to customise lessons to fit the needs of a student. This requires constant trouble-shooting and understanding what kind of learner a particular student may be, before tailoring lessons to suit the learning style of the student. A good tutor should also have a Scheme of Work that has been agreed upon by both student and tutor so both parties can prepare themselves well for each lesson so as to maximise lesson time. One should also be available to answer questions via email or Whatsapp should a student require help outside of lesson time.
