Tuition/Teaching Experience: Having 5years of teaching experience, I have indeed seen a variety of students. Out of which includes one girl whose English I managed to pull from a C6 to an A1 in 8 months. This i believe is not only because of the rapport i have with the student but also because of the teaching style i adhere to. I believe in hands-on learning meaning exposing students to not only text books but also to the every day lives. This is especially important in the higher levels where the questions are more practically-based. I also use mindmaps to enhance tuition sessions. Homework is also important for it helps enforce the knowledge that has been taught.

Having just graduated from top schools like Raffles Institution and Raffles Junior College, I am very familiar with the syllabi and I feel I am in the best position to share tried-and-tested study tips and revision techniques with my tutees.

I strongly believe that in order for students to excel, it is insufficient for them to merely read the textbook and do their routine homework. It is imperative for them to practise extensively to be exposed to the many different ways questions can be phrased/posed so they can apply their knowledge appropriately. Hence, I often provide very useful notes and practice papers for tutees to practise during/after tuition lessons as homework.

I often go through a topic with my tutees before his/her teacher teaches it in class as this has proven to be effective in allowing them to absorb/understand better when their teacher teaches the topic in the classroom proper.

I seek satisfaction from seeing my tutees improve and excel under my tutelage and aspire to be a top-notch part-time tutor!
