I have 7 years experience of private home tutoring to date, guiding mostly young learners in the Primary School level. I started engaging in private home tuition as I find it very fulfilling when interacting with these young learners one-on-one, as I am able to focus all my attention on them and most importantly cater to individual learning needs, unlike teaching in schools which I do as a profession.
I have been trained by NIE for four years, and have gained important skills and knowledge on the teaching and learning of primary school English, Mathematics and Science through my stint there as a student teacher.
I have also had teaching experiences in various primary schools in Singapore,
teaching classes assigned by the relevant Heads of Departments (Primary 1 - Primary 6).

I am well-experienced with customising my teaching and learning materials to my learner's learning needs, learning styles and personality.
I have taught at St Hilda's Primary School, and have gained invaluable experience there with students from the GEP Programme.
Throughout my journey, I have learnt and gained invaluable teaching and learning experiences and wish to get more opportunities to guide young learners through private home tuition as it is more personal for them as well as for me. I have always had a passion for teaching and for children. Hence, tutoring individuals through the one to two hour sessions allows me to customise my teaching as well as teaching materials to suit my young learner's unique learning needs. It also allows me to engage them to learn on a more personal level by guiding them with the teaching and learning materials which I have prepared and gathered over the years of tutoring young learners as well as from my teaching experiences in Primary Schools and training in NIE.
In addition, I find joy in imparting my skills and knowledge - engaging young learners to observe the joy they can experience through learning and watching them grow and succeed. With my passion for teaching and being around young learners, committing my time and dedicating my best efforts towards guiding young learners comes naturally through the time spent with them individually.
