Tuition/Teaching Experience
I have been teaching since May 2002. I have 11 years experience teaching at the primary level. I have taught at 4 different primary schools. I have taught English, Maths and Science at P3-P5 level. I have also been sent out as a Science and Maths PSLE marker in my 11 years of teaching. I have also been sent to other schools as a PSLE examiner during the PSLE oral exam from 2007-2010. I have tutored P3-Sec 1 students from July 2006-May 2007. I am a firm but fair teacher who believes that understanding the basics and concepts is far more important than rote learning or practising repeatedly without any/minimal understanding. I am committed to my students and rarely change the days of lessons unless I really need to.
I will be able to start private/group tuition lessons from Monday 2nd July 2012 onwards and can commit to 1st Dec 2012. I prefer to take students who are older, preferably P4-P6. I am capable in English, Maths and Science. My rates are $50/hour for twice weekly lessons. I am sorry but I am unwilling to take assignments that are only held once a week. I am free from Wednesdays to Fridays from 5p.m.-8p.m. and on Saturdays from 1p.m. to 3p.m.
