A few years ago, a parent called me up to ask if I would take her son for tuition. The boy was Primary 3 and he wasn't paying attention in class, nor seem to understand certain subjects. The parent shared with me that the reason behind his inattentiveness was due to the fact that he was diagnosed with ADHD. The parent shared with me that she wasn't expecting miracles but she hoped I could improve his grades.
Though the parent thought that I would have a hard time with the boy, I ended up being his close friend, teacher and elder sister. Not only did his grades improve, but he managed to get B1s in the subjects I taught and there was an overall improvement in his character as well. I ended up teaching him for 2 whole years.
