I have taught Primary school students (p4-p6 psle students) for 2 years now.
When it is during their holidays, I do not believe that students should have too long a break, but they should have consistent practice in their work especially if they are weak in their subjects.
For example, Mathematics is a subject that requires ample practice to allow students to remember formulae as well as to understand the concept sufficiently. Thus, last minute memorizing of steps is not going to work.
I usually provide practice questions as well as assessment book practices for students. And nearing to exams, I provide top school exam papers for students to do as well.
Lower secondary level - English Mathematics Science
Upper secondary level - Bio/Chem Biology Chemistry E Maths
Commitment / Other Details
I am able to provide tuition during weekend mornings and if needed, I will try to find time during weekday evenings.
If my school holidays at NUS coincides with the students' holidays, I usually provide more tuition sessions to further prepare the students for their exams.
I am able to commit to the student long term, for example P5-P6 if possible and I am able to start with immediate effect.
Given my past experience, I believe I am able to teach Upper Secondary Math and Science as well as I specialize in these areas
