I've been teaching Primary level English and Mandarin for a year.

I strive to interest my student in what they are learning beyond the textbook. My teachers have inspired me and I hope to be able to inspire my students too. Also, proficiency in English and Mandarin is essential for survival in the future too, so it would definitely benefit my student to master the language.
I will strive to complete the year's syllabus unless the parent is dissatisfied & wishes to engage a new tutor or if any sudden emergencies crop up that I need to attend to.
I can start asap if given 2 week's notice in advance.
During early December 2009, January 2010 & May 2010, I will be away on overseas school trips with my uni to broaden my global & career perspectives. I will be headed for China in December, France in January (2wks) and Hong Kong in May (6wks). I hope to bring back the lessons I have learnt there to share with my tuition kids to inspire & help them as well.

I will try to find the best fit between my student's schedule and mine to ensure that there will be no clashes. However, during my exam period, I will probably need to cut down on the frequency of tuition sessions so that I can study as well. Ample notice will be given to parents of the students so that arrangements can be made in advance.
As an undergrad myself, I understand the stress of studies & exams. I seek to keep to keep communication open with my students to ensure they do not over-stretch themselves.
