I BEGAN TUTORING WHEN I WAS IN JUNIOR COLLEGE, AND HAS COACHED PRIMARY 5 STUDENT WHO FAILED MOST OF HIS SUBJECTS IN SCHOOL FOR A FEW MONTHS. HIS GRADE IMPROVED MARKEDLY, PASSING THEM FOR THE FIRST TIME.
I BELIEVE THAT STUDENTS ARE TO BE GUIDED AND COACHED PATIENTLY, BUT I WILL NOT HESITATE TO REPRIMAND THEM FOR THEIR ILL-DISCIPLINE AND BEHAVIOUR. I ENCOURAGE FRIENDLY DISCUSSIONS DURING TUITION SESSIONS, WHICH ALLOWS ME TO UNDERSTAND THE WEAKNESSES AND NEEDS OF THE STUDENT AND THUS AM ABLE TO PLAN MY APPROACH IN HELPING HIM/HER WITH WORK.
BY SHARING WHAT I LEARNT IN THE EDUCATION I HAVE RECEIVED AND THE EXPERIENCES I HAD IN LIFE, IT NOT ONLY HELPS THE STUDENT TO UNDERSTAND MORE ON VARIOUS TOPICS, IT ALSO HELPS ME TO LEARN FROM THESE STUDENTS.
