Commitment / Other Details
two years of Tutoring experience at Epworth Oasis center to teach Secondary School students maths and science, help them with their homework. Group sessions can be held if wished to learn together.
Rapport Building
I love to provide constant feedback about the good parts and bad parts about a student regarding their subject that helps them improve further. At the start of the lesson, would recap what we went through the previous week and give them some teasers. When preparing to settle down, lighten the mood by asking students how was their week etc.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I check the syllabus document frequently and observe other school exam papers to make sure students are on the right track. June holidays Intensives can be conducted (Lesson plans include practice and discussion of answering technique, content revision crash course, going through of common questions, data based questions)
As a Good Tutor
Compassion and empathy is important to recognize what exactly students misunderstand about each topic or subject. A good tutor is also responsible and creative, finding new ways to make lesson plans to suit the needs of each student.
