Tuition/Teaching Experience
In school, I organised study groups and enjoyed helping others in math and science subjects. Despite my lack of experience, I am enthusiastic, I work well with kids, and I have a flexible schedule.

Commitment / Other Details
I will finish my National Service on 02 Feb 2021. I can start tutoring in Feb and commit however long is required. My schedule is relatively flexible until August 2021, where I will enter University.
Rapport Building
I believe that maintaining a close and friendly, yet professional relationship is important. I served as an Infantry Officer in the Singapore Armed Forces. Hence, I have good people skills and work well with others. I am sure my experience from my National Service and School, coupled with my enthusiasm, will help in building a strong rapport and a productive learning environment for my tutees.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Although I graduated from Junior College in 2018, Secondary School in 2016 and Primary School in 2012, I still keep up to date with the curriculum. Despite my busy schedule of National Service, I still frequently help my younger cousins with their Secondary and Primary school work over the weekends. Occasionally, my juniors from school will ask me mathematics or science related questions over "Whatsapp" or "Zoom". This forces me to keep up to date with the new syllabus, to solve the new questions that come up in examinations.
As a Good Tutor
I believe that good tutors should be patient, and match the pace of their tutee. As a tutor I believe that it is important to be approachable so that tutees can voice out their questions and clarify their doubts without feeling pressured or shy. I believe that hard work needs to be put in to prepare material that suits the tutee's style of learning. When classes are catered towards the tutee, the true potential of the tutee can be realised.
