Rapport Building
I would describe myself as compassionate, affable and hardworking. I enjoy being with people and meeting the needs of others. Based on the 16 Personality Test, I am a Consul (ESFJ-T). Consuls, also known as 'The Caregiver', love to be of service, enjoying any role that allows them to participate in a meaningful way, so long as they know that they are valued and appreciated. My personality type is one of being a dependable coworker or friend, and possessing moral-integrity and strong values.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Currently, I am teaching several primary students Mathematics tuition and am well-versed with the latest MOE syllabus. Taking an interest in teaching, I aspire to enter NIE and be a primary school teacher. Currently awaiting my interview and entry to NIE this year.
As a Good Tutor
My extensive experiences of working with people from varied groups in society, especially those with disabilities like autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome as well as, physical and intellectual disabilities would make me a versatile tuition teacher. These invaluable opportunities has helped me to gain a wide perspective in how to effectively meet individualised needs and display maturity when responding to various challenging situations. I have also gained greater measure of empathy, patience and critical thinking skills while interacting with these children.
