Tuition/Teaching Experience
I have taught a Sec 3 student for 6 months, improving his grade from B3 to A1. I am willing to follow through with the parent and student till his needs are met.
I can start after about 1 week of the parent confirming with me what his/her child needs/ proposed lesson plan that I can prepare for and deliver.
Rapport Building
By keeping a realistic yet amiable relationship between both the student and the parent, I always strive to be real with the child's progress, and any support/guidance he needs outside of the tuition class. The parent will be updated about his child's progress after every session, by showing the parents a before and after image of test papers and whatnot.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I am always studying the textbooks and syllabus, trying out test papers to keep myself updated with the syllabus, and ensuring that my problem-solving skills do not turn rusty.
As a Good Tutor
A good tutor should be dedicated to the child, friendly, but at the same time realistic about his student. The most important quality would be to be committed to the child's learning. Even though it is easier said than done, I will definitely give my best and commit to the student, giving my best shot at helping him improve.
