I have taught 3 students ranging from primary to secondary school year 4. I understand the problems of students in trying to understand concepts so I try to come up with simple ways to tackle problems
I usually would try to understand the students problems and needs through the way he tackles problems. Each student is unique, so the most important thing is to find out which method is best for the student and most comfortable for them. I believe in not forcing a certain way to students as it may have an opposite effect.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I would take a look at the TYS of the school and the GCE exams being taken and ensure I understand all the changes in the syllabus
As a Good Tutor
I believe in building rapport with the student and ensuring that the student is constantly motivated to improve him or herself. As a motivated student, is all a tutor could ever ask for.
