Commitment / Other Details: I prefer teaching 2 hr sessions as they are more effective than shorter sessions.

Rapport Building: General Information:
I am able to comfortably teach H2 Physics, H2 Chemistry, H1 Math and all lower levels of these subjects. At O'level I can also teach Biology and Geography and have experience in teaching students in the Intergrated Programme.

Teaching Methods:
I mainly teach through analysing the student's school notes with them to ensure that they throughly understand it. Then going through the mistakes made in their worksheets and practices to teach them how to avoid such errors.

Customisability (to better adapt to the student's learning speed and preferences) :
On a case-by-case basis I can/may provide my own handwritten notes, re-teach the syllabus, teach ahead of the school, provide additional practice materials (such as other schools' prelim papers), and provide extention knowledge.

Background:
I am from the Intergrated Programme of Catholic High School and achieved the O'lvl equivalent of 2 points (best possible score) in year 4. In year 6 I took the A'lvl and achieved 86.25 of 90 rank points. In 2015 I was award the YDSP scholarship and in 2017 the DSTA JC scholarship. Now I have been offered a place in the SUTD Technology Entrepreneurship Programme for academic ability and communication skills, which is only given to the top 30 of the university.

Experience:
I taught my neighbour (O'lvl) and brought up his grades from C for Chemistry and B for Physics to A for both in half a year. He still chooses to be my student despite getting As because he feels that I can enrich the content his school teaches.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I read the syllabus provided by MOE for the general idea of what is needed, however I also look through the student's school notes to make sure that my teaching is aligned with the school.

However at request I can also teach with a focus on the final exam (O'level or A'leve) grades where I will use my own discretion to determine the content and method of teaching best suited for the student to get the best results.
