Rapport Building
Lessons will come with consistent progress updates of their child/children. It is important to keep parents in the loop to give them a peace of mind with what they are paying for, as well as to be a part of their child's musical journey.

To keep students at ease, I like to make use of their interests during lessons to keep them interested. For the younger ones, there will be physical activities to keep their restlessness away. Additionally, I like to keep the communication open where students are comfortable enough to give me honest feedback on their practice progress. Emphasizing on their strengths also helps with rapport building.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I am still taking lessons myself, which helps with keeping up with the current curriculum. I listen to recordings of updated grade pieces and play some myself.
