Commitment / Other Details
I can start immediately from effect of this week 060319, can teach for a period of at least 1 year.
Rapport Building
I used to be an ex tuition student, having signed up for many private or group tuitions, still keep their notes. I have seen the good and bad from teachers, how some do not put in as much effort as others because of their lack of initiative and commitment. The teachers who are lazy just come for classes asking if the students have any questions but the ones who are passionate put in the effort to print questions and provide notes for students. I believe honest communication to the parents about the child's performance is important because all parents want the best for their child but some are just too busy with work or lack the knowledge to teach. Instead, they need someone to monitor their child and provide advice regularly.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I believe in doing Past year exam papers for students nearing their big exams and doing past school exam papers to prepare students for mid-year or the end of year exams. I read the syllabus of the textbooks before coming to class so I can suit the students learning needs. Eg to not teach algebra to a primary school student but to find other ways to simplify the process to make it easier for the student to visualize and absorb. This way each student can learn at their own pace and own level.
