Rapport Building
After spending 12+ years in the education system, I realise that it is essential to instil habitual critical thinking techniques from a young age, and that traditional "mugging" techniques are outdated given the challenges posed by the modern syllabus.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
As a Good Tutor
I believe that there are 3 fundamental steps to succeeding in a subject.
1) Understanding - to fully grasp and internalise the concepts and theories forming the foundation of a subject. Although retention of information is important, I hope to impart skills which go beyond simply "memorising" key words and phrases.

2) Application - Students must know how to convert their raw knowledge into practical, efficient solutions. This is an important aspect of doing well in examinations, and I will teach students to tackle a wide range of questions with a methodical and analytical approach.

3) The Final Touch - When exams are around the corner, many capable and bright students falter due to external influences such as pressure and stress. Fine tuning one's exam-taking skills is crucial to ensure consistent good grades and a healthier state of mind during the test period. I will personally share with students the techniques my contemporaries and I use before events such as 'A' Levels, University Interviews and Tests, Scholarship Interviews etc.
