Tuition/Teaching Experience: This is my first time tutoring, but over the years in both JC and even now in University, I am pretty good at teaching my peers concepts that they do not understand.

Tutoring Subjects

Commitment / Other Details: I am able to start immediately.
I will be able to commit till May, when I may have to find an internship under University requirements.

Rapport Building: As a tutor I will definitely feel responsibility for the student's work, hence I will put in effort to make sure he/she does well. I have always been able to grasps concepts quickly, hopefully I can pass on such technique to my students.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I am currently still studying, so that would not be an issue.
With regards to the primary or secondary curriculum, I will definitely check with colleagues who are tutors, and I have peers now who are part time tutors whom I can check with as well. I will do my homework.

As a Good Tutor: Responsibility is the main thing I believe. If I feel responsible for the grades of my students, I will put in the extra effort to make sure they do well.
I also believe communication is key, so that I can understand the difficulties the student is facing in his/her work and deal with it accordingly. I must make sure my style of teaching suits the student as well. So it goes both ways, both listening and teaching.
Lastly, I just have to put myself in the student's shoes. I have been in their position once, so I should reflect and think of advice that I can give them from past experiences.
