Rapport Building
i try to balance the lesson with materials which are fun (usually pieces the student likes, which will help me understand them better and build a better rapport) and method books which focus on building technique.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I would encourage students to have a note book to jot down their home work, and lessons that are conducted at my studio is always recorded with a GOPRO so that the student will be able to recall what was taught during the lesson
As a Good Tutor
Patience is a must as each student progresses differently.
The ability to spark the curiosity in the student so that they will have the urge to ask questions and improve
To not spoon feed the student and to challenge them so that they will become independent and develop critical thinking abilities.
