I have worked part time at Nanyang Education Consultancy, my job scope included supervising and tutoring primary school students ensuring they complete their homework.
I believe it is important to have a stable relationship with students and understand the specific needs of different students. It is also of utmost importance for me to communicate and update parents about the progress of their child. It is important that I ensure the student will be comfortable under my guidance as to ensure a productive session each time.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I read up on the syllabus to ensure I am updated and purchase assessment books to expose myself to the syllabus.
As a Good Tutor
I believe that a good tutor is truly concern about the child instead of just forming a transactional relationship. It is more of a friendship to ensure the student listens and to ensure the child will be motivated to improve and learn. A good tutor would go the extra mile to prepare before the lesson to have productive lessons.
