I also provide concise notes, summaries of key concepts, step-by-step solutions for past Cambridge and various JC prelim exam questions
I am able to explain concepts in various ways to help students understand abstract concepts eg models, animations, videos.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I am familiar with the most recent revised Chemistry H2 and H1 syllabus to help students see the interconnection of different concepts. I can also give practical guidance, tips and support to my tutees to help them prepare for the A-level practical exam.
As a Good Tutor
A good tutor is one who is patient, caring and responsible and can guide and support students in their learning according to their weaknesses and pace. Such a tutor is able to engage their students in analysing the problems and make them interested in learning the subject.
Track Record
On average, at least 50-60% of my past H2 students get A grades for A-Level exams,
At least 70-80% of my H1 students get A grades for A-Level exams, well above national average.
Almost all students got at least a 2-grade improvement for A-level exams compared to their prelim exams.
The best record of class result is all As and 2 Bs in a class of 25 in 2009.
A few of my students topped the Chemistry cohort in their Prelim exams, eg in 2016 and 2017.
Several of my students also won the silver award in the Singapore Chemistry Olympiad in 2015 and 2017.
